Effective writing for the web requires focus and brevity. The copy needs to be short, crisp, “punchy,” and easy to read.
To get viewers and keep them, sites should be loaded with short sentences, lots of bullets, and lots of space. The copy must get the reader in and out quickly.
Since the web is a high-tech medium, more often than not technical people do the writing. When a site's primary objective is to sell, better wordsmithing usually comes from those skilled at call-for-action direct-sales.
Embellish the above with: "Navigation is King!" The finesse of site routing is critically important. And there is no question the right graphic, photographic and "Flash" images are compellingly important.
We believe QuillPro’s website illustrates these principles. Check out www.branchpartner.com for an example using lots of photos and Flash.
